Jorge Patino, M.D., completed medical school in his native Columbia at the Universidad Metropolitana and then practiced as a general practitioner in Columbia for two years before immigrating to the United States. Jorge has been actively involved in public health in this area for many years. He developed and ran an HIV/STD prevention task force in the Hispanic communities in and around Charlotte. Since 2006, he has been working with CMC-NorthEast to develop a new program, Latino Congregational Health Promoters. This program provides healthcare outreach services to the Latino population in our area. Jorge lives with his wife and two sons in Charlotte.
He enjoys cooking Latin food, mountain biking, hiking, listening to music, and taking the kids out to have fun at parks and attractions.
